3 Deadly Mistakes For New Amazon Sellers!

– Hi there, my names Sophie
Howard and over the last few years I’ve
launched hundreds of my own Amazon products and
scaled and sold some of those Amazon business. And I’ve also helped a
lot of new Amazon sellers figure out what to sell and how to sell successfully on Amazon. And as well as my own
experience some of the mistakes I made early
on, I’ve also seen some reoccurring themes the things that lots of Amazon sellers fall into a trap where they make some common mistakes. So one mistake I see a lot is they rely to much on software they think something that cost 80 dollars a month is gonna give them million
dollar product charges, and not share those
ideas with anybody else who’s paid for the same software. So that’s a really flawed way of thinking and its a real trap I see a lot of people all turn up the same
product ideas and then it’s a bit of a disaster for
everyone whose got that same product idea from the
same bit of software at the same time, it’s not a winning strategy. The next mistake I see people make is that their not consistent
and their not persistent enough that’s some pretty boring
admin it’s not hard, but you’ve got to do
somethings the right way at the beginning and if
you follow a checklist and a clear process you
won’t go wrong on that. And there’s a real cost
to stuffing something up with you Amazon account
just that early stage systems and process, getting that set up once the right way lets you really scale, I’ve
launched over four hundred products in my first year
on Amazon just by having the set up done right so it made it easy to add to those product ranges. And then the third thing
that I see people do is get to ambitious
and think that they can take on the big sellers and the really competitive
categories and that is a disaster if you go into a high
competition area of Amazon with your brand and you think
you can out market everyone else whose already there with
well over established reviews, and listings, and rankings, or you think your going
to win by out pricing them and being cheaper. It’s just not going to work for you it’s going to be really
tough and I see a lot people make that mistake and
I’ve been tempted a few times I’ve had a great product idea I loved it and then I saw there
were some other sellers were doing quite a good job
and I though oh I can do better but no its much much
better to keep clear of competitive products, so in the next training
