csd displayed wit what was it that dreaded brought you
guys you say you came in shortly after after he was yes after he performed his action you hear about it what what inspired you
to go down there and to record it she said that you thought it might have been
a short film after salazar had basically ah… ruled that the uh… the the auction itself was a legitimate
but uh… who what attracted you to this uh… when in fact like colorado and are
a little local newspaper that that bailey planet i believe the white had a picture of cam on the front page
and probably with something like january tech and or december
twenty-eighth earth or something like that and uh… it be explained what he had
this done at the bureau of land and management option and lead or
denying like this finished the film uh… on american outrage in which the bureau of land management them uh… largely and and so i’d thought that what can be
edward very ingenious very clever very and if you know without hurting anyone
without uh… damaging any property stop this what sounded like uh… but you know how
an outrageous oil and gas leak toxin without hurting
anybody or doing anything like that so for that one out of his something i’d
like to know more about and and george and i were on our way to a film festival
without last film on a different american outrage and we had to stop the flights a day and
do a do a phone interview and think you know that um… was on the
person who was being interviewed right before i put them to christopher and um… we literally listen to the end
of the at the interview and i think that’s the private you know we would
like to meet and they asked him what with next for
him and he could even on his way to the wild and scenic film festival
unified city california and that’s exactly where we were on our way to so i mean it was sort of serendipitous free and we got to be out
in the film festival we talk to the the festival director an active if they wouldn’t introduced us to think that the fire and by six o’clock at night we’ve met
him and then we do you know we started
talking to him he got to keep its only a tiny off the back if either the relationship that we still had the
film problem in that we’ve made the film about and by the end of the weekend that we’ve
been fitted bacon hands in the excited that you know we follow him around and
see what happened and that was at the very beginning of two thousand
nine and here it is you know the middle of two thousand thirteen and we’re still
involved well about open the filmography end besar give us a little more information
than women when we say goodbye with i’m gonna play
it clip that you guys posted on utube of
technical issues just recently uh… let out of prison in that pieces locks upon being released in prison from
prison but um… but tells all the wonderful but the wonderful culinary that we did
after screening goal weight it would actually the government really didn’t think about
it but they let him out of prison on april twenty first of april twenty
f-actin obviously a third day so we formed a big screening info lake uh…
on earth day analyst with him first opportunity speak out and we had his q and a stream to about
fifty different venues around the united state fair the pre relief before in new york premier and doubts a
working people see the film uh… in the coming months and how can
they set up screenings just give a saloon well uh… we’re very excited because i
made seventeen at that the film video seventy will open at the
clock in new york city and for a week run i
think it’s a seventeen through the twenty third and kim will be there on the seventeenth and eighteen thirties if you first trip bertha allowed trip after his
incarceration bs three years of probation now and so im he will be there at the at the
quiet theater on the seventeenth and eighteenth and then obv we gold who are
next theatrical opening is in life and alot
on june seventh for a week buddy in inbetween we do community
screenings grassroots organizations that sort of thing and uh… and people can find out how to host the
screening by on the mailing out that info at gage production and um… we’d love to what we’re trying
very hard to do with this illness connect the dots you know trying get different grassroots an activist together so that they can uh… move this said move this process forward and so that we can trident you
know uh… create a livable world for itself we will uh… will post that email uh… site at majority dot f_m_ and also uh… linked together or seventy fail and dot com when she was that email one
more time so that uh… we can uh… wicking initially we close that
correctly okay phil on carton on email death row yakin info at gage productions dot com and then the website for the film which
will also take you to uh… all kinds of information is bigger step in the film
the idvd yaar it is seventy film dot com i think starting tomorrow the website
the links will take you through this q and a that talked about we we edited
together about six clips of tim answering questions install a candidate
advances are pretty pretty uh… impressive you know it if the prime one thing that
you may or may not on the elmo clip candidate uh…
something really important really exciting is that during him two years of
incarceration do you read a lot and studied a lot and applied for college and he in the
last month that he was incarcerated he was accepted to harvard divinity
school with a full scholarship well so that where he’s going to come from prison
synthesis with the other parts that uh… that you felt that he would like
to include into the film it just didn’t make it there well the only thing like that we would
have liked to have him interviewed at some point of view from uh… the in department of interior missus ella darpa
cetera also the b_l_m_ bureau of land management they fed they always cancel
we were able to interview one gentleman that already retired and he’s the one
that says in the film sometimes at the element walk into a meeting in just a we
own the white house we can do what we want to do and up but unfortunately
uh… he was the only one for the b_l_m_ we were able to interview and then you know that that that i think at midnight cannot repay their peers conduct up on the cutting room for a
minute some demonstrations in so forth demonstration against the biggest
polluters outside of full weight calicut uh… and results of admits all thunder them very proud good things that people uprising with
him started were doing which is they’ll go into the inner city you know bill the
garden for an inner city school and have it all ready for planting on monday
morning so think like that we try to keep a pretty straight line if you would with him and what time
was doing but uh… defeated profound people up writing which is doing an
awful lot of good work around this country in terms of protest thing scarf
and the pipeline condo stuff well bass and george dave of the film is better or seventy thank you so much uh… for
taking the time today i really appreciate it rate may have had a really good quest
gyms and we appreciate being on your show for
