When buying the list from your source, is there a way to not buy the ones without owner a mailing address? Reply Brian Jordan says: February 9, 2014 at 12:18 am Hi Seth, great video. I have a tip for you. To the right of the "sort" button is a button labeled "remove duplicates" You can then remove duplicates from any column you choose. I would recommend removing duplicates in your "Mailing Address" column instead of the "Name" column to ensure you're not send more than one piece of mail to a single address. Great videos, love the info. Reply Bryce Robbins says: February 12, 2014 at 6:44 am Hey Seth, Thanks for the great series of videos! I also wanted to give you a quick tip about the suite/unit/#/etc. columns. To automate this, start in a cell directly to the right of the data field for the suite/unit:#/etc. Now type the equals sign to start a formula, then click on the first cell, then type &" "&, and the click the second cell. Hit enter and the two cells should be merged. Now here comes the beautiful thing (you can probably guess where I am headed) is you can now fill this cell down through the whole column. Hit cntrl+shift+down arrow key and this will select the whole column with the cell you just entered the formula into. Now simply fill down, walla!!! Reply Anthony says: March 12, 2015 at 8:23 pm I'm not sure how I feel about this agent pro. I use list source which seems to be easier. it can remove the duplicates and also remove any names from previous list you bought before just to make sure your not sending the the same people. You can also remove llc's and companies from the list as well prior to buying the list and just get a raw list of owners, not companies. Reply Daniel Eronson says: July 19, 2015 at 6:41 pm Thanks for the info.Save time by merging cells for your suite/apt #s.http://www.extendoffice.com/documents/excel/510-merge-columns-keep-data.html Reply DaKidLinx says: March 10, 2016 at 7:23 pm The ones that look like they're missing a zip code is because you have to format the cell for text. If not, it wont read the 0's in front of numbers. For instance where my zip code is 03079 but Excel put 3079 so I had to change the cell to text in order to have the 0 in front. So annoying! lol Reply James Gilpin says: March 31, 2016 at 5:56 pm Great video Seth! Did you know you can use excel to merge two cells and take the headache out of combining 'Apt' and the '#' Here is how: Click the cell where you want to put the combined text. Type =( Click the cell that contains the first text you want to combine, such as a 'Suite'. Type &” “& (a space enclosed in quotation marks). Click the next cell with the text that you want to combine, such as the '#'. Drag down to the bottom of the list to quickly catch them all. Done 🙂 Reply Ryan Palmer says: February 13, 2017 at 5:30 am Thank you so much for some actual concrete instructional content!
