How to Organize a Bachelor Auction : Organizing Dates for a Bachelor Auction

Hello! I’m GALA GAL Jenelle. I’m here on behalf
of Expert Village talking about bachelor auctions. This is key number sixteen; the follow up
after your bachelor auction has been completed. Now, mainly with follow up, we’re talking
about the dates. When do the dates happen and who is the best person to put that process
in motion? I’m going to give you 3 options. One; the bachelor can be given the winning
bidder’s phone number and email. Never give address but a simple way to contact so that
bachelor can call and setup a date. A second option is for the organization, you, to work
as a liaison between the bachelor and the winning bidder. Remember that both parties
have to meet at the date location. No one picks anyone else up, but simply has a public
place where they meet and they both drive separately. That’s just for safety. Also remember
if you are the liaison, start making those connections 1-3 days after the auction and
work to get a date on the calendar as soon as possible. Sometimes the excitement wears
off a little and you want to make sure that that date happens. Now, the third options
is sometimes the people who bid in the auction and were really excited are a little nervous
after the auction, so you may want to offer the winning bidders the control over whether
or not the date happens. In this case, you can give the bachelor’s phone number and email
and they can choose to follow up and make that date if they wish, or in some cases,
they might just choose to keep their package and just keep the idea of the date on the
back burner. Those are your three options for following up with the bachelor date. Finally,
remember you’re following up with your entire event. Thank your venue, thank your bachelors,
thank your bidders and bachelors can thank all of their supporters; their sponsors, friends
and donors who helped them make their bachelor auction packages. All of those thank yous
go a long way in helping you to do another bachelor auction sometime in the future. Thanks!
