Mr.Brainwash – Juxtapose

Juxtapose is the most complete artwork in Mr. Brainwash production. Thanks to the presence of the two main characters of his research, the eclectic genius Albert Einstein and the unforgettable filmmaker of the 20th century Charlie Chaplin, with the painting tools of a street artist in his hands. Inside the work emerge a myriad of details that make their way through the tempera drops, colored sprays and comic writings. In the background we find the red color that explodes as a powerful stain that inevitably takes the shape of a heart, almost recalling the words that Einstein raises: Love is the answer. In the upper left and respectively right section, we find the famous Banksy thrower, a symbol of social protest that has become an icon of street art. Right in the center of the impressive red heart, we can glimpse the famous Campbell’s Tomato Soup, which Mr. Brainwash uses repeatedly to remind us the true artistic origins that broke with all the social schemes, the art of Andy Warhol. To emphasis his work, the artist uses onomatopoeic exclamations, typical feature of the comic, one of his most loved forms of art. But they are not the only words inside the work, in fact, we can also find the artist’s phrases, that later became famous slogans, like the one next to Einstein: Art can not be criticized, because every mistake is a new creation. The work is a splendid unique piece, realized on porous paper, cut by hand, in many artistic techniques. It is signed on the front with black marker, and on the back, we can find the archive code and his unmissable slogan: Life is beautiful.
