[MUSIC PLAYING] Hi. I’m Andrew. I’m a Solution
Consultant at Domo. Recently, a sales
leader came to me and wanted to know
what I thought he should be forecasting. We were a month
into the quarter, and he wanted to know how it
looked like we were doing. This isn’t uncommon. Lots of people want to
know how they’re pacing, or how they’re progressing
in a given period. So using our linear charts
and a beast mode function, I was able to build them a
pacing report that showed him the historical pacing
numbers for that group. Now, I’ve been doing this for a
while, so I had a premonition. I realized that as soon as I
showed him that pacing report, he was going to want to
see it by individual region to see how each of
the regions was doing, so I added that
as a quick filter. The sales leader was happy
with what I showed him, but wanted to get some
stretch goals in place as well [? and ?] track [? them. ?]
Since we were spinning this group off and giving
it some focus, he felt it was reasonable to
expect that they would beat the previous best
quarter by 10%. So we added that in using a data
flow and our Data Dimensions table from our Domo
Dimensions [? character. ?] He also wanted to show, in
the summary number, what our current
attainment was and how that compared to
our stretch goal, so we did that in a beast mode. Having the pacing view
has allowed our sales reps and our sales
leaders to have the appropriate
expectations of and views into where we should be at any
given point of a given period. It’s a pretty simple idea. There’s lots of ways to
implement it in Domo, and you’ll see those
in the solution guide. But it eased a lot of
anxiety for our own leaders and contributors. It’s a common problem,
but I solved it with Domo. Do you have an “I
